Margaret Brown with painting

For some thirty years, Margaret Brown has worked in the field of organisational development, having worked extensively on every continent of the world, primarily, but not exclusively within the oil and gas sector.

Now working primarily within the renewables and energy transition sector, where the need for agile leadership is more critical than ever, her work entails all aspects of leadership, employee engagement and service excellence, from executive 360 degree feedback, offsite leadership workshops, large employee conferences and 1-1 performance management coaching at all levels.

In 2021, she fulfilled a lifelong ambition, graduating from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen with a BA Honours in painting, whilst continuing to maintain her key client relationships throughout the four years of her degree course and the Covid pandemic.

Margaret believes that her artistic ‘right brain’ strengths enable her to further support her clients’ objectives as the need for new ways of thinking at all levels becomes increasingly more essential, utilising elements of her painting practice within workshops to help unleash creative thinking within teams.

In her Own Words

“My approach to business is based on building mutually respectful, collaborative alliances with all stakeholders. I’m motivated by fully understanding my clients’ cultures and business objectives, and helping their organisations become really great places to work where people deliver great outcomes and have fun in the process. Increased loyalty, productivity and delivery of bottom-line business objectives are the proven outcomes of a culture where people are trusted, developed, involved in the company purpose and direction.”
