Margaret Brown’s painting practice responds predominantly to the timeless beauty of nature whilst seeking to encourage debate and increase awareness of the impact of human activity on the planet, the very same issues that many of her business clients are aiming to address.
She explains:
“I have no single style, as I simply love experimenting with a broad range of media, application techniques and source inspiration. I believe that this broad thinking with no assumptions or pre-mediated outcomes is what also helps me to support my business clients as they explore new approaches to challenges in the workplace.
The more I immerse myself in the beauty of the natural world, and the more I connect with change leaders in the business world, the more inspired I become to create work that provokes thought and debate around the issues of the Anthropocene and what we potentially stand to lose.
I derive equal pleasure from imagining and creating my abstract works as I do from painting landscapes that, for me, capture the essence of my beautiful, wild Scottish homeland.”
