Abstract
The natural world and human impact on our planetary systems largely inform my abstract paintings. I’m fascinated by the notion of geological deep time and the certainty that every aspect of matter and life as we know it has always been and always will be infinitely connected.
Design elements that represent scale, timelessness and interconnectedness are inspired by a wide range of natural sources including lichens, seaweed, rivers, the ocean and the colours of nature, whilst incorporating visual suggestions of human impact drawn from the destructive aesthetics created by extraction, pollution and deforestation.”
